Balai
The beach of Balai is a stupendous bay covered with light sand and stretches of low rocks. Behind the beach lies a pleasant luxuriant garden with palm trees, heather and various kinds of flowers, while suggestive limestone rocks give a rugged and wild touch to the landscape.
How to get there
The long Balai Beach is found at Porto Torres. It can be reached along Lungomare Cristoforo Colombo; to get to the beach you need to go down a flight of steps.
Useful information and services
The beach has a car park and wheelchair access. It is very popular with tourists also because of its wonderful seabed and it has a number of facilities like a hotel, a bar and a restaurant. The shore with its shallow waters makes it an ideal place for children to play.
